Purpose:
The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Sandy Valley Alumni Association. This award recognizes outstanding alumni of Sandy Valley High School who have gone above and beyond the norm in professional and personal endeavors to positively affect their profession, their community, and their fellow man. This award also recognizes the individual who exemplifies the ideals and spirit of Sandy Valley High School, and continues to inspire others through his/her positive role modeling and continued support of excellence for our schools through his or her diversified achievements.
Nominees must exemplify the ideals and spirit of Sandy Valley Local Schools, and should serve as a role model for current and future Sandy Valley students. Furthermore, the current Sandy Valley High School students will be given the opportunity to experience and appreciate the contributions made by those who have graduated before them.
