An effort is underway across Ohio to prevent drug use among Ohio’s most vulnerable citizens – our children. Governor John R. Kasich and First Lady Karen W. Kasich have launched Start Talking! to give parents, guardians, educators and community leaders the tools to start the conversation with Ohio’s youth about the importance of living healthy, drug-free lives. When it comes to preventing children from drinking, smoking or using other drugs, parents are a child’s first line of defense. Columbus’s OhioMHAS will be at Sandy Valley on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 5:30pm in the High School Performing Arts Hall to present their Start Talking! Event. We encourage all community members to attend.

After OhioMHAS concludes their presentation, Nick Bianco founder and CEO of Bianco Sober Living Accommodations (Summit County) will share his story, vision, and mission to assist those who are actively seeking recovery and discuss why prevention starts with conversations.

Hope to see you there.
