Sandy Valley's Teen Leadership Corps Cardinal Volunteer Class collected over 550 packages of baby wipes for the victims of Hurricane Harvey in partnership with other schools in Ohio. Each school was assigned an item, and Sandy Valley's item was baby wipes.

Members of the TLC class organized the drive with posters, fliers and social media. The baby wipes were donated by students, staff, and members of the SV community and some were purchased with donations collected mostly at the Minerva/Sandy Valley Football Game. Additionally, students contacted local businesses who allowed them to put collection boxes at their sites. This goes to demonstrate the wonderful and caring community that Sandy Valley is.
